An autumnal styling and photography workshop

An autumnal styling and photography workshop.jpg

A return to Toria of Wildly Beautiful Flowers’ workshop for the second running of our workshop together (The Wildly Beautiful Light) was another completely joyful experience. Once again Toria imparted her immense skill with a paintbrush, teaching our guests how to create their own incredible still life photography backdrops. Each one was unique and stunning, and the perfect canvas for me to teach some still life styling and photography tips for florists and flower farmers to make the most of their stunning creations.

We talked about colour and composition, making the most of the light, and some simple camera settings that really evoke atmosphere in our photos. Whilst the deluge of rain continued for most of the day we were snug and warm with Toria’s wood-burner, enjoying the fabulous light that her workshop provides.

It was a wonderful collaborative, inspiring and magical experience for me, seeing how everyone took their own style and sense of colour and shape to create uniquely beautiful scenes - it was an honour to capture them on camera.

If you’d like me to capture or teach at your workshop do get in touch!
