The Wildly Beautiful Light Workshop

The Wildly Beautiful Light with photography by Kate Cullen 27.jpg

A visit to Toria at Wildly Beautiful Flowers is always a treat, but even more so this month as I got to visit with my styling and photography hat on and teach a lovely group of flower farmers/florists how to create eye-catching still life and flat lay set ups and capture them on camera (whether it was a smart phone or a digital camera ).

In the morning they had leant how to paint their own fabulous still life backdrops with Toria, and we used these to create some wonderful arrangements using flowers freshly picked on the Wildly Beautiful Flowers farm.

It was fascinating seeing how differently each guest chose and styled their still life set ups, with different colours, textures and designs. I led them through how and where to position their fruit and flowers to take advantage of the best light and compositional elements, and then which settings on their phones they could use to get different types of shots - from close ups to encompassing the full designs.

Toria and I are thrilled to be running The Wildly Beautiful Light workshop again on Tuesday 28th September - do get in touch to secure the early bird price of £185 ahead of us putting it up on the website shop.
